Under the direction of the Blending Supervisor, is responsible for raw material receiving, product blending, and tank transfers in the Blending department to contribute to meeting the Company’s mission of developing and marketing high-quality brands and running best-in-class operations. Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Functions: Prepares all recipe raw materials (acids, flavors, and colors) for blending a new product by locating materials needed in warehouse, transporting them with a forklift with the blending department, and completing appropriate inventory and documentation procedures. Blends alcoholic, non-alcoholic, Kosher, Organic and flavor products by reading and following all blending and CIP (clean in place/chemical wash) procedures on the shop ticket (recipe). Transfers blended product from blending to tanks to be pulled from later for bottling. Reads, understands, and prepares CIP washes by following all blending and safety procedures on the shop ticket. Tests sample water and product to ensure compliance with specifications, using testing equipment. Unloads tankers containing high proof product by verifying paperwork to tanker, pulling a sample for the Lab, and unloading the tanker once the sample is approved. Performs and documents daily start-up and shutdown processes. Takes daily, monthly, and fiscal inventories of finished product which is recorded in the computer database. Adheres to and understands pertinent TTB regulations. Assists with the daily, weekly, and monthly calibration of equipment, ensuring the equipment is within specific tolerances. Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned by the Blending Supervisor. Works in a safe and courteous manner while abiding by the Company’s safety policies and procedures. Cleans tank rooms using pressure washers and other materials. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent knowledge of mathematical relationships. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision. Ability to be flexible, moving from one duty to another at any given time. Ability to read and write English. Knowledge of production and processing, machines and tools, and computers and electronics. Ability to have persistence in completing tasks under time constraints. Must have good communication skills, the ability to work well with others, and the ability to multitask. Ability to use deductive reasoning in troubleshooting to solve work-related problems. Precision, focus, operation monitoring, and operation control skills. Commitment to Safety and Continuous Improvement: Must be able to work in a safe and courteous manner while abiding by the Company’s safety policies and procedure and assisting with eliminating and/or controlling safety hazards. Must have the ability to work and participate in an environment that expects all employees to support wellness, safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Must have the ability to participate in and support Continuous Improvement; including process improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities. Minimum Requirements of Education, Training and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent desired. Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions: Frequently lifts and carries from 5 to 75-pound pails up flights of stairs. Must have arm-hand steadiness and multi-limb coordination. Must be able to perform all duties up to 9-10 hours a day on your feet and be able to tolerate 90° heat.
